Weird Music – New Boots and Panties!!

This album was released by Ian Dury in 1977.  Apparently the title refers to the only items of clothing that he would buy new.

It was a moderately successful album in the UK.  I had never heard of it before seeing it in a book called 1001 Albums to Hear Before You Die.

The cover shows the artist with his son outside a clothes shop.  The title of the album is not one of the tracks.  In fact clothing doesn't appear as a theme in any of them.
