If you liked Primary Colors and have become a bit of a
US political junkie this book will suit you right down to the ground.
Charlotte is a Silicon Valley executive who goes back
to her home state (Pennsylvania) and runs for Senator. It is set in contemporary times but doesn't
get involved in them in the sense of naming anyone.
Her opponent is a Good Ol' Boy by name of Tug Slaughter
– got to love his name.
PS there is a bit of bad language and some sexual references - it is about politics after all!
