Journeys of a Lifetime by National Geographic (Second Edition – 2018)

I can highly recommend Journeys of a Lifetime.  A great coffee table book with great photographs as you would expect from National Geographic.

A warning though – you will want to travel after leafing through this sumptuous book.

I am currently planning a trip so this book had my head in a whirl.  I first picked out a long list of 13 and have now whittled it down to 5.  No doubt none of these will end up being close.  The short list are (in no particular order):

Voyaging down the St Lawrence in Canada

Iceland's Ring Road

Ancient Kyoto (Japan)

Coastal trip in Vietnam – for the food

Tokyo

Iceland sounds intriguing but involves 2 long flights which I am trying to avoid.
