Artemis by Andy Weir

Remember, The Martian?  Well this is Andy Weir's second book.  As always with second books, I approached this with a certain amount of trepidation.  But I needn't have worried.

The book is different but still very good indeed.  The protagonist is female – good, I guess – but she was not someone I could like.

But the plot is intriguing and the pacing impeccable.  I recommend this not only for sci-fi fans but for lovers of books generally.

There is a little bit of science in explaining how a city on the moon works – but it isn't at all overdone or boring.

  2. I still haven't read The Martian. Somehow the movie satisfied my urge to read the book. Still, I am glad to know you liked his followup because one of these days I will read them both.
