Everyday Harumi: Simple Japanese Food for Family & Friends

If you would like to learn about Japanese Food – and in particular about dishes that are accessible to Westerners then this is the book for you.  It introduces you to Japanese food without intimidating you with fancy knife work etc.

To do the dishes you will need some staple Japanese ingredients such as dashi powder, miso paste, toasted sesame seeds, mirin and sake.  But the flavours are so delicate and yet robust.

Some of the dishes I intend to try out include:

Sirloin steak in a miso marinade, Ginger Pork, Prawns in Crispy Breadcrumbs and intriguingly Lightly Pickled Tomatoes.

    1. It's rice covered with 3 toppings. The toppings are beans, ground chicken and scrambled egg. Nice!
