Guilt by Association by Marcia Clark

My expectations for Guilt by Association were not high. It's a crime book for a start – not my normal genre and the author is a celebrity in so much as she was the lead prosecutor on the OJ case.

I was very pleasantly surprised.  The main protagonist DA Rachel Knight is quirky, funny and also driven.  Her sidekick from the FBI is sassy and great.

One of the things you sometimes find with law professionals writing novels is that the book is filled with technical legal details – not so with this one.  In fact there is more detail given of various bars and restaurants in LA and of clothing.

If you like crime books, this is definitely for you.  But, if like me, that's not your first choice of genre, give it a try anyway.  I really enjoyed it.

  1. Thanks for the recommendation. I do like mysteries and plan to read quite a lot of them this summer. I'm putting this one on my TBR list.
