Max Gimblett is a contemporary New Zealand
painter who splits his time between Auckland and New York (having become an
American citizen). His work deals with
shapes and objects – rectangles, squares and circles.
Gimblett
was born in 1935 – so he is a good age now.
I don't
have a clue about the spiritual underpinning of his work – which is apparently
Jungian and/or Bhuddist – but I do get drawn to some of his works. Do you like the ones I have chosen?
Glad you have a new blog of the month up! I have The Nordic Theory of Everything on my ever growing reading wishist... So, off to click and read the book review momentarily.
ReplyDeleteMax Gimblett's 1st picture looks cool. I like the pop of bright pink color in it.
