Max Gimblett and new Blog of the Month

Max Gimblett is a contemporary New Zealand painter who splits his time between Auckland and New York (having become an American citizen).  His work deals with shapes and objects – rectangles, squares and circles.

Gimblett was born in 1935 – so he is a good age now.

I don't have a clue about the spiritual underpinning of his work – which is apparently Jungian and/or Bhuddist – but I do get drawn to some of his works.  Do you like the ones I have chosen?

I have selected a new Blog of the Month for you – a book blog this time – Doing Dewey.  Katie blogs about many sorts of books including a lot of non fiction – which I enjoy.  Recent reviews include:  The Lost & Found by Katrina Leno and The Nordic Theory of Everything

Max Gimblett's 1st picture looks cool. I like the pop of bright pink color in it.
