Season Of Salt And Honey By Hannah Tunnicliffe

Season Of Salt And Honey is an interesting little book.  A bit sad and a bit sweet – which is reflected in the title.  The book is set largely in the US and deals with an Italian American woman who loses her fiancĂ© just before the wedding.  I enjoyed the read and was surprised to find that the author lives in my own country – and isn't Italian either.  So she did well to make the book still ring true.

The author has a blog that deals with both food and books – called Fork and Fiction – it is written by her in New Zealand and a friend of hers Ria who lives in Canada.  I've included the link for you if you'd like to check it out.
