A Window Opens by Elisabeth Egan

The author, Elisabeth Egan, is the books editor for Glamour magazine – and it shows in her in depth knowledge of the book and magazine world.

On the surface this is a fairly standard storyline of a woman with kids returning to the full time work force and having to deal with the challenges that brings on all fronts.

But what appealed to me was the issue of paper books as compared to digital media. The heroine goes from a part time role as a books editor for a magazine to a full time role at a huge tech company looking to get into books.

This book was a good read – moments of real wit and honesty.
