Pasta with Tuna, Capers & Cream

Carole's Chatter: Pasta with Tuna, Capers & Cream

This simple pasta dish was inspired by the simple dishes that Nigel Slater comes up with in his cookbooks and TV programmes.

Ingredients:

Some pasta – any kind you like – I mixed some gluten free spirals and some fettuccine
Garlic infused oil – don't use too much, it's strong
Basil – fresh – parsley would have been better
1 tablespoonful of capers (more if you like a bit of salt)
6 tablespoons of cream (I used reduced cream from a tin)
Tin of tuna
Black pepper

While your pasta is cooking put all the other ingredients into a serving bowl (preferably a bit warm) and mash them very roughly.  Tip your cooked pasta in, stir and serve with some grated cheese.  Parmesan would have been great but I only had mozzarella.

  1. Mmmm. Sounds good! Do you make your own garlic-infused oil?
