Hot Pink Spice Saga by Peta Mathias and Julie Le Clerc

Hot Pink Spice Saga is subtitled "An Indian Culinary Travelogue with Recipes".  And that is quite right – the book is more a hilarious recounting of Peta Mathias's gastronomad tours of India as photographed by Julie Le Clerc (who is also an accomplished cookbook writer).  There are recipes too – but only about every 5-10 pages.  The photography is lovely.

If you would like a bit of a laugh while learning more about India and its cuisine I recommend this book to you.

I scanned one recipe to give you an idea of what the food is like.  Here it is!
