Scotch
Eggs
The first time I remember knowing about Scotch Eggs was when we were taught how
to make them at cooking class at Primary School. Back in those days all the girls went to
cooking class once a week and the boys went to woodwork! Can you imagine!
So Scotch Eggs are nostalgic for me. I have occasionally bought them from the
supermarket deli but haven't made them myself for decades!
As you can see a hard-boiled egg is surrounded by
sausage meat or mince (ground beef) and then baked. If you cook the eggs too much before the
baking they'll get an unattractive blue ring around the yolk.
*drools* that looks SO good.
