Robin Morrison – photographer

 

Unfortunately the photographer Robin Morrison is no longer with us – he died in 1993 at the age of 48. 

 

The images in this post are from the book Coromandel which was published just after his death.

 

You can see from the images that he relished the ordinary and unpretentious – a pretty common Kiwi trait.  He didn't re-arrange things to suit his images – his shots are what he saw.

 

These photos of the Coromandel peninsular give you a real feel for this lovely and still relatively unpopulated and tranquil part of New Zealand (except for a couple of popular tourist spots).
