I Shot The Sheriff – The Wailers and Eric Clapton


I Shot the Sheriff was apparently the introduction of reggae to the US.  The song was written by Bob Marley who was a member of the Wailers.   It was made a big hit by Eric Clapton for whom it was his only #1 in the US. 


The song is a bit silly but it sure sticks in your head for days after you hear it.
