They were jumpsuits, and I had the pattern. Pant suits were a pair of slacks with a jacket, and culottes were knee-length pants that looked like skirts. Jumpsuits were awful when you had to go to the bathroom.
I had culottes when I was a kid and I loved them. Green and light blue plaid with a silver belt buckle attached, lol. I loved them so!!! :) They were shorter though, just past the knees. :)
Thanks for sharing on Super Sunday Sync. You took me waaaaaaaay back. ;)
I love these patterns..i get to see them in 1970's Bollywood movies..The one in green is awesome.

ReplyDeleteMy mother had this pattern and made me this jumpsuit in the 70's
ReplyDeleteI too had these, never heard of culottes, glad someone said what they were.
ReplyDeleteHi Carole, I love this pant suit. Use to wear them way back in the 70's. Thanks for bring back the memory.

I love vintage patterns, generally the skirts and dresses from the 50's.
ReplyDeleteVintage patterns are great! I have a couple that I enjoy in an art project. I think the long pants are pantsuits and the shorter one is culottes!
ReplyDeleteOh I remember these! I think I made a couple of them when I was in high school. :)
