I
only recently realised that in the US a coffee cake is not a cake with coffee
in it! I kept seeing coffee cakes and
was amazed at how popular they were until I finally twigged that a coffee cake
was a cake you ate with a cup of coffee… duh … I am obviously a slow learner!

It was so hard to choose one, so I chose two. A simple Orange Olive Oil Cake with Almond Glaze and a more elaborate Caramel Cake with Caramel Mascarpone Buttercream, Salted Caramel Sauce and Toffee Almond Crunch. There are lots of lovely cakes on the list.

Hi Carole, I'm always wary of cakes especially those that uses lots of butter, cream, sugar and eggs etc. But here i would love to share some of my regular bakes which are low in gluten, sugar and fats. I called them Cottony cakes.
