If
you are the only person on the planet, if not the universe, who hasn't read or seen the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I
apologise for the spoiler.
While
I did see this on TV, it was the books that I enjoyed the most. Such fun.
It started out as a radio comedy back in 1978 but has had many
incarnations since then. It was created
by Douglas Adams – obviously a very talented man.
Just
remember – Don't Panic!
My daughter had trouble remembering the 6's when she was learning the multiplication table. After the 1,137th time of reminding her that 6x7=42, I finally told her the story of 42 in Hitchhiker's Guide. I thought for sure such a silly story would stick in her head. Later I quizzed her again: "6x7?" She got all puzzled and said, "44???" Her six-year-old brother looked at her like she was a fool and said, "42! It's the answer to everything!" At least SOMEBODY listens to me. :)
