Fred Hollows

Fred Hollows died of cancer on 10 February 1993 but his work goes on.  He was a world renowned eye doctor who ensured that countless thousands of people got necessary eye surgery.  He pioneered delivering very low cost effective surgery.  He was born in New Zealand and also lived in Australia.

The Fred Hollows Foundation is carrying on his good work.
