Pork and Noodles

I was very pleased with how this Pork and Noodles dish came out.  It was also reasonably quick to do.  The longest part is the prep – the cooking is all done and dusted in under 10 minutes.

So I sliced up 3 pork steaks and marinaded them in a mixture of golden soy sauce, maple syrup, ginger powder (not too much), salt, pepper and a splosh of white wine vinegar.

While that is marinating away on the bench, prepare the following:

3-4 Cloves of garlic, sliced
Thumb of ginger, julienned
Par cook ¼ cauliflower broken up into florets
½ red bell pepper cubed
2 Spring onions (scallions) sliced
1 green and 1 red chilli thinly sliced lengthways.

Stir fry the garlic and ginger in a little vegetable oil.  Add the pork and the marinade, when pork is lightly cooked add the par cooked cauliflower and the cubed bell pepper.

Right at the end add the spring onion and chillies.

Served on a bed of egg noodles.
