The bass for me. When I was at school we once had to write an essay about our ambitions. Forty years on, I have achieved every single one of the ambitions I wrote about except one - learning to play the double bass. I love the way its sonorous depth supports the rest of the melody in all kinds of music from classical to modern.
I'm a big bass fan because I love jazz; however, I've recently become a fan of the harp. A friend of mine's daughter writes music for the harp and she's only 12! It's very contemporary and very good!
The harp looks the prettiest though :)
