St
Nicholas of course became known as Santa Claus. It's his day on 6 December. He was a real person – a bishop of Myra in southeast Asia. The story is that he heard of a family with 3
girls but no money for dowries. He
secretly lobbed a golden ball to each one of them while they slept. So he was known for his generosity without
asking for any recognition for it.
We actually celebrate St. Nicholas Day! He comes flying in on a white horse and throws a bag of goodies through the door! I love seeing that other people know about him!
