I
imagine almost everyone will have at least heard of Tuesday's with Morrie by Mitch Albom – and many will have read
it. If you haven't – yet – I would
highly recommend it. It is a
life-affirming book although you might need to have some tissues handy. The
book came out in 1997 but don't be put off by that – the oldies are often
goodies!
It
is a true story of Albom's 14 Tuesday visits to his old college professor who
was dealing with his incurable Lou Gehrig's disease. Through these meetings Albom re-thought about
what was important in life.
PS Reading this back, I am sounding incredibly
earnest – and boring. But the book
isn't, I promise!
This book is awesome. I like it better than 5 people you meet in heaven also...

I read this book a long time ago and it was so hard to get through! Very good and touching but so sad as well.
ReplyDeleteA friend gave me this book and I'm so glad she did, because I never would have picked it up to read on my own. It was great, and I should read it again.

ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful story. Iv been trying to make my boyfriend read it for about 6 months now! It is sitting on the coffee table waiting to be read - I might have to unplug the tv and offer endless beers as bribery but I know once he starts he wont be able to put it down.
