She’s A Mod – 1964 style

She's a Mod – it's 1964 and this is the first New Zealand single to be number one in another country.  This happened on 4 November.  The single was a hit for that veteran of the Kiwi music industry, Ray Columbus with his band The Invaders. 

It was recorded just a few weeks before the Beatles toured New Zealand.  If you want a bit of a laugh have a look for this on You Tube - much head nodding involved!
