Pet Hates #9: Being kept waiting by doctors/dentists

 Why isn’t there as good service at your doctor’s or dentist as you get at your hairdresser?  Why do they keep you waiting? 

I asked a dentist once, and he said that they had to schedule patients that way because otherwise they could end up with gaps.  He didn't get the point that in doing this they are deliberately rating the value of their time as of more importance than the time of their patients.  Old fashioned arrogance, I call it.
