I
have only been to Monte Carlo
once. And then only for a day trip but I
was there long enough to get a feel for the place. As you will know Monte Carlo is the town in
the tiny country of Monaco which lies on the edge of France down in the French
Riviera.
It
has less than 50,000 permanent population which still means it is densely
populated given its area is less than a square mile.

Perhaps
one of the most famous things about Monaco is that the late Prince Ranier
married a famous American movie star, Grace Kelly. Monaco is now ruled by their son Prince
Albert who recently married a South African swimming star, Charlene. Like father, like son, I guess.

Unfortunately
I didn't get any further than the outside rooms of the casino as a result of
having sandals on which didn't match their dress code. So I can't pretend to have played blackjack
while rubbing shoulders with rich Europeans.

did wander along the boulevard by the sea and saw amazing superyachts and very
skinny model type sunbathers.
