I
just want to wish all Americans a very happy 4th of July. We don't really have any equivalent here in
New Zealand – as in a day where we all go completely to town and decorate
things with flags, have fireworks etc.
In fact, funnily enough, the only time I can recall Kiwis going a bit
nuts like that is over rugby – which is a game most of you may never have even
heard of!
Thanks for the greeting and good luck with the rugby!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've heard of rugby, but don't know much about it. :)
ReplyDeleteThank YOU!! Thank you very much!!! I have heard of rugby.....not sure exactly how you play it. With a ball perhaps?
ReplyDeletegrowing up in Texas, i was known as a fearless "sandlot" (American) football player. No one wanted to tackle me because i would litterly run them down - till one boy my age, who was getting a schlorship to play Rugby at a University in England started to play. Fearless is a word we both understond and with out helmet or pads the two of us would be on opposite sides and he could bring me down! My understading of the fearless nature of Rugy comes from him and it sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteOn the other issue - I think you all do some celebrating around New Years (which is summer for you)
