Dragon was a great pop band that happened to be from
New Zealand. April Sun in Cuba is a
nonsense song with a great tempo and hook.
Full of attitude. It only reached
#2 in the charts being held out by “Mull of Kintyre” – a tiresome track in my
view.
“Are You Old Enough?” was another one of Dragon’s
hits. They didn’t get any real success
in NZ but were a hit in Sydney after a rocky start including one of the band
members dying of a heroin overdose.
