Solution – Handful
This is an example of a hidden word clue. See

The definition of the solution is “taxing person”
which here, isn’t used in the sense of the taxman, but in the sense of someone
people find “taxing” ie hard work or annoying.
So if someone is a “handful” that fits that part of the clue.
The indicator that there is a hidden word is
deliberately disguised - “joined types in” – but it is the “in” which gives it
away. That together with the use of 2
proper nouns in the second part of the clue.
So there we find “handful” ie Greenwich and Fulham
