House of the Rising Sun is a real oldie but a goodie. A great track by the Animals in 1964. The producer says the recording was made in 2
takes over 15 minutes! Puts today’s
over-produced music into context. The
single said it was 2 minutes 68 seconds long!
Another great British group whose heyday was in the
60’s. One of the other big hits was
“Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” – another great number. The group’s name came from how wildly they
behaved on stage. Sadly they were the
victims of bad management and made very little money for the long term.
