Old Ideas: A New Album by Leonard Cohen

I have now listened to the new Leonard Cohen album , Old Ideas, about 10 times.  After the first time, I thought “yes, some nice tracks but not as good as Live in London”.  But now I really get it.  Although the numbers are not as energetic in the beat sense, they are very catchy.  The lyrics are great – one track is a bit depressing (Darkness) but the rhythm makes up for that.  If you like Leonard Cohen you won’t regret getting this album.

My favourite tracks on the album are:

  1. Like your music picks. Check out Adam Cohen, he lives up to his father. I heard an interview with him on CBC Radio and the he is well grounded!

  3. Thanks for the steer, Carole and Sienna.

Old Ideas caught me at a vulnerable moment. My faves are

    - Going home (for reasons which are obvious from my post, http://twistedbyjacks.blogspot.com/2012/02/going-home.html )
    - Amen
    - I had to go crazy to love you (though the Beloved is less keen on my keenness for this one)

    But they're all good!

High praise indeed for Adam, Sienna. Let's see...
