The Westin Sydney, hotel

Westin Hotel on Martin Place
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.  Perfectly located for our trip.  A 10 minute walk through the Hospital and the Domain to the Art Gallery, less than a 5 minute walk to the centre of shopping.  It is also about a 10 minute walk to Circular Quay etc.

The room was nice without being spectacular.  The bathroom layout was a bit odd.  Open to the room unless you lowered a blind.  Okay if you were on your own or not particularly modest but a bit off putting for me.

View from bathroom to room when blinds not drawn

The bed was what they call “heavenly” and I have to agree.  And unlike most hotels there was a range of pillows on the bed and one of them was just to die for.  My other half who doesn’t have the same taste in pillows found one to his liking too.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Executive Club floor which brought with it free breakfasts and free drinks and canapés from 6pm to 8pm each night.  The breakfasts were of a good quality.  And the canapés were spectacular.

Canape's in the Executive Club - we got one each

We didn’t try the hotel restaurant or room service because there were so many other dining options nearby
