Weir originally
wrote history books but latterly has branched out into history based novels
such as Innocent Traitor (based on Lady Jane Grey) and The Captive Queen
(Eleanor of Aquitaine).
Her historian
roots mean that the novels are factually based but she can also write – a good
combination.
