The Great Pavlova debate

New Zealand and Australia have argued for years about who invented the Pavlova dessert.  It is of course named after the great Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova.

It was created in the 1920’s after she had toured Australia and New Zealand.  Wiki is of the view that it originated in NZ.  The Oxford English Online Dictionary has also supported NZ.

Whoever created it, it is a delicious treat particularly at Christmas time.
