Books You Loved: July
continued to provide reviews of great books.
Here are a few that caught my eye:
The Guernsey Literary & Potato
Peel Society by
Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows was reviewed by Captivated Reader. The
review said 'I enjoyed reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer
and Annie Barrows as much this time around as I did the first go around. The
writing style of the authors is wonderful. I loved the characters and the way
in which the plot unfolds.'
Elizabeth from Silver's
Reviews brought over a couple of interesting books. The first, Paris Ever After by KSR Burns was
described as 'The marvelous, sweet, delightful story line and
descriptive writing style of Ms. Burns pulls you into the life style of the
characters and into the French way of life.'
The second, The Taste of Air by Gail Cleare,
Elizabeth said 'There are also some tissues needed for happy things as
all came together at the end, but for the most part A TASTE OF AIR is an
uplifting, enjoyable read that is like receiving a big hug.'
What Kitty Did Next by Carrie Kablean
was reviewed by Debbie of Genre Reviews. She said 'What Kitty Did Next is a Regency romance set in 1813 in England.
It starts about a year after Pride and Prejudice and is told from Kitty's
viewpoint…. This is the best Pride and Prejudice sequel that I've read.'
Now on to the August
(!) collection. Remember the posts
you link in don't have to be recent and the book concerned doesn't have to have
been recently published or read. The
only requirement is that it is about a book that you loved.
To add to the list just pop the name of the book (and
your name/blog name if you like) into the first Mr Linky box and then copy and
paste the url of your post about it into the second box.
I'll be pinning your links to this
Pinboard to
make it easier for you to check them out at a glance. As a bonus the books reviewed last June are
also on that board.
Done!

DeleteI adored The Peacock Summer by Hannah Richell and hope more readers can discover this gem. I also gave 5 stars to Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman this month. I didn't link it above though, because I'm sure it's been linked plenty of times already, I'm just a little late to the party on this one.
