Cherries
are
in season at Christmas time here which is just wonderful. This week's theme has 2 ingredients –
cherries and almonds – any dish that uses one or both of them will be most
welcome.
To add your dishes, just put the name of the dish
together with your blog name/name into the first Mr Linky box you will find below.
Then paste the url for your post about it into the second box.
I'll be pinning the dishes to this
Pinboard which will make it easy for you to check them out at a
glance. The almost 200 links from the
July 2013 collection are also on that board.
Cheers for Cherries!
Thanks, Carol!
ReplyDeleteHI Carol, I always put chopped almonds in my homemade mincemeat. And sometimes I've used dried cherries, though I only mentioned dried cranberries in the recipe.
ReplyDeleteHoping my no bake recipe will be hit so easy to do especially this time of year when we're also busy
ReplyDeleteThanks for having me over great party love all the great food! How can anyone go wrong with cherries and almonds
I too love cherries, but looking through my blog I realised I haven't really cooked with them other than using them as a decoration on a cake. I just wash and eat them when they are in season. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThx. Posted a wonderful coffee cake using almond yogurt.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize just how much I used cherries or almonds in my recipes. So I shared just a few, of my faves that is. Thanks for doing this again, Carole.
ReplyDeleteAs long as I do not have to pit them in mass quantities, I adore cherries! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHi, Carole and all!
ReplyDeleteThe 1930s Dollar Fruitcake ( # 37 ) calls for almonds and candied cherries. I’m afraid it will cost a little more than a dollar to make.
Happy holidays, everyone!
Cherries and almonds are the perfect paring. Great party! Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteYep - I'm a fan of both. The cherries were amazing last year but I don't think we've seen the best of them yet this year. A spicy Cherry Sauce for cold meat on Christmas Day or even better, on Boxing Day leftovers!
ReplyDeleteA cherry AND an almond recipe - couldn't decide between!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, Carole! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteHi Carole I am adding new combination in my kitchen - apples, cheries and wanuts - my newest addiction :)
ReplyDeleteeasy to make, no flour, smells and tastes delicious. if you like sour and sweet combo, you have to try this one! bye
Thanks as always Carole!
ReplyDeleteOh boy - cherries! Here's a recipe for cherry clafoutis. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteCarole,
ReplyDeleteI've linked up a couple of recipes using both cherries and almonds together (somehow, since I love the smell of Jergens Cherry Almond Hand Lotion the 2 flavors are paired together in my mind) as well as some recipes using fresh cherries.
Thanks for hosting!
