The Last Scoop by RG Belsky

The Last Scoop is not my usual reading fodder but I enjoyed it – a lot!

The heroine is a TV network news boss, Clare Carlson, who finds out her old mentor has been killed.  This starts off a chain of events that leads to major news events.

So the book is contemporary.  It sits at the intersection of news, policing and crime.  The writing was the key for me.  It is clear and the heroine is quite self deprecating.

It's the third in the series but I enjoyed it fine as a stand alone.
