The Magnificent Mrs Mayhew by Milly Johnson

The Magnificent Mrs Mayhew has been described as a feel good book. Sophie (Mrs Mayhew) is the perfect political wife for a rising politician in the UK.  He gets caught out playing away and she is expected to stand by him.

She snaps and tells he world what a shit he was and then does a runner.  Most of the story is about what happens next.  Her husband is a very unsympathetic character – a cartoonish self obsessed politician. The spin doctors and media don't come out of it particularly well either.

I think you'll enjoy this one.
