This Warm Prawn and Avocado Salad was easy
to do. The only hard part is having an
avocado that is at the perfect stage of ripeness!
There are
probably better ways to do this but this is how I did it and it turned out
ok. I used a bag of cooked frozen
prawns.
I didn't
defrost them. I put sautee them from
frozen in hot oil (some of which was garlic infused). Be careful, the pan will splatter and
splutter and generally sound unhappy.
When the prawns were hot I added a small splosh of sherry vinegar for a
bit of a tang.
This sound great to me. Just what I was craving for!
ReplyDeleteHi Carole,
ReplyDeleteI love all of the ingredients you use in this delicious looking and sounding dish, although I would have to try and find a replacement for the radish, as it is one of the few things hubbie can't stand!
Or, I could simply wait for him to be working away and make a big plateful all for myself :)
Thank you for stopping by Fiction Books today. I love meeting new people, so your visits will always be welcome and your comments always appreciated.
Yvonne.
Looks simple and delicious!! I love prawns and avocado but have never thought to put them together.
ReplyDeleteI love avocados, so if you start with that I'm usually happy. That salad sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others: looks easy and yummy. I almost always have shrimp in the freezer and often pick up avocados.
ReplyDeletePrawn and avocado? Yes, please.
ReplyDeleteYum! Some of my favourite things in a salad!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds delicious! Prawns (or shrimp as I call them) and avocados are two of my favorite things so this is my kind of salad!
ReplyDeleteI would love if you would come share this, and any of your other posts, at What'd You Do This Weekend? The party is open now at http://joylovefood.com/whatd-you-do-this-weekend-9/ :)
We are big shrimp eaters over here and I like them with avocado. Nice, easy dish, Carole! Thank you for sharing with the last See Ya in the Gumbo party. And thank you for being such a big support over all this time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great salad, Carole, we will just love it! Thanks so much for sharing with Full Plate Thursday and have a very special weekend!
