ON
For the
first Friday in March, our Food on Friday collection will be focused on low fat dishes. No need to get pedantic about it – so long as
there is no fat or lowish fat in the dish, add it to the collection.
To add your
dish, just put your name and the name of the dish in to the first Mr Linky box
and then paste the url of your post about it into the second one.
I'll be pinning
each dish to this Pinboard
so that will be an easy way to choose which dishes to check out in more detail.
Wishing you
all a lovely and healthy time!

Hi, Carole, Enjoy the weather in New Zealand!
ReplyDeleteMy Ma's recipe Seafood with Arjoli Sauce, Maltese Style (#4) is easy and uses whatever seafood is available, even pre-cooked shrimp.
Here in Winnipeg we just had more snow, and our water mains are breaking because of the extreme cold weather. Sheesh, where is Spring??
Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteCarole, the pounds don't seem to be creeping up as much as the flesh is spreading here--because I'm sitting on the couch waiting for the snow to melt instead of being outside walking! I've linked up a quick Pickled Beet and Herring salad that keeps me satisfied for hours, a deliciously creamy Corn and Black Bean Salsa in Avocado Cups (sure, there's fat in an avocado but I'll take that), a Harvest Sweet Potato Salsa which is packed with flavor, and a tangy stir fry using lean ground turkey for the meatballs and featuring fresh oranges and red cabbage. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteCarole, thanks so much for hosting. I posted about en papillote cooking. I find this low fat as you can get, but taste like so much more. Have a great week.

Thanks for the fun topic, Carole! Hope you get some sunlight heading your way soon!!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see a low fat theme, Carole! That's right up my alley, since all my recipes are low fat or fat free. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Carole and have a great weekend! :)

Another Food on Friday that's such a perfect fit for Two Healthy Kitchens' recipes! Low-fat foods?!?!? Game on! Thanks a million, Carole! Have a fabulous weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting! Thankfully, I have ONE low/no fat recipe :)
ReplyDeleteGreat topic, Carole! This week: Chicken Soup with Roasted Asparagus, Mushrooms and Shallots. The flavor comes from the ingredients, not fat.
ReplyDeleteHello thanks for the invite!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for hosting Carole.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Carol! This week I'm sharing low fat/ low carb Grain Free Cabbage Rolls.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great week!
You're in a better climate than me in Malaysia. We're experiencing a drought, no rain for the past 1 month or more, hot and humid, and water rationing in certain parts of the country, especially in Kuala Lumpur. Linked a healthy salmon noodle salad. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeletejust posted a recipe for hello kitty meringue cookies! these are fat-free and delicious! thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Carole my butternut squash dish with lean turkey mince and beetroot, uses just a little olive oil and is delicious.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carole once again for the opportunity. My fish skewers are really tasty (if I do say so myself :) ) and low fat in the bargain.
ReplyDeleteThis honey lemon chicken is possibly the best chicken I ever ate--and that's saying something!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, I just posted my recipe for Black & White Cookie baked donuts. Checked out some of the links already posted and they look lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi Carole! Thanks so much for the link party--I'm excited to try out some of these recipes myself! Today I'm sharing my fruity crockpot shrimp--it's something I just threw together one time and it turned out REALLY good (plus, it's good for you and perfect for those of us observing Lent)!
ReplyDeleteLove this topic! I've linked a few of my favourite low fat recipes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Carole! I brought some "not" ice cream today. One ingredient!!! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, Carole! I sure need some more low fat dishes in my menu planning.
ReplyDeleteLow-fat isn't really my thing, but if you have beautiful vegetables you don't need to do much to them! Sugar snaps and radishes will be abundant soon, so I thought this recipe would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteA little late to the party, but I made it! Looking forward to seeing what everyone else brought.
ReplyDeleteLow fat foods = my fav! Stay healthy! I'm a bit late here, but I'm definitely going to be checking out what the other have up here.
