Food on Friday: Sausages

ON

Whether you call them bangers, snarlers or sausages, that's what this Food on Friday is all about.  And it's not just about your pork sausages – also salami's and cooked sausages like chorizo.

I think my favourite is pork sausages with onion gravy.  I can't wait to see all your dishes.

Sausages (according to Stephanie Alexander) go with:

Fresh sausages
Cooked sausages
Salami
Bacon
Butter-fried apples
Olives
Bread
Cabbages
Pasta
Eggs
Chestnuts
Pickled cucumbers
Grilled tomato
Dried beans
Radishes
Mashed potato
Lentils
Raw fennel
Mustard
Mustard
Sheep's milk cheeses
Onions
Pasta
Sundried tomatoes
Pickles
Potatoes

Polenta
sauerkraut

Relishes

Spiced fruit

Sweet peppers

Tomato sauce

So just put your name and the name of the dish in the first Mr Linky box and paste the url for your post about the dish into the second.  Don't feel you need to leave a comment, but please do visit some of the other links.

PS  When I was looking for an image to use for this, my Google search turned up some unexpected results!  Really, the minds people have.

  25. I've included my sausage rolls, although they do rely on your having a little bit of pulled pork leftovers hanging around the place! :)

  27. =] a very simple and lovely dish, good to combine with any sausage, though I prefer lovely spiced lamb sausages. Making sausages yourself is the best! Though you need quite some equipment. If you have a good butcher you can look at sweetly maybe you can convince him to teach you. I had ;)
