Jar Key |
Sometime ago I was given this little gadget - I wasn't even sure what it was for. Then I discovered it was really handy - it helps you undo jars with no muscle power needed. I have just bought my second one for the bach.

Omg. I need this. I literally tried opening a jar EVERY day for a whole week and just gave up each time. Until I googled how to open it (yeah I know...sad) and then BAM it was open! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteI know it was a revelation to me too. No more calling out to my better half to open things for me.
DeleteAnd they are tough enough to act as bottle opener too.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried that.
DeleteThese are fantastic! I was given one by a family member a while back and can not praise them highly enough. I must admit I had no idea what it was at first either (I partly wondered why I'd been given a plastic spanner)but it makes life so much easier, no more wetting cloths or sticking on rubber gloves. Great tool! Never tried it as a bottle opener though, good idea.
ReplyDeleteI agree - I don't know why more people don't have them. Nice and low tech and cheap, too.
DeleteWow. I haven't ever seen or heard of this gadget. Now I have to have one. And I think I'll get one for my mom too. How have I missed this tool?
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's because what it does is not obvious when just looking at it - I certainly only stumbled across it by accident. You have given me a good idea to give it to friends as a little present
DeleteWow! Never even heard of this before, but I definitely need one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment
DeleteWhat?!?! I didn't know these had been invented. Now I want one. Actually I NEED one. Thanks for the info. ;)

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. This gadget seems to be a very popular idea. Glad I thought to mention it.
DeleteI have two kinds of jar openers, but not a Key Jar... cool. Will get one because who knows when my strength will give out or the jar will outwit me :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that it doesn't need electricity or strength. Thanks for the comment.

ReplyDeleteThat seems like a really useful gadget!
yes, it's a wonder more people don't have them. Low tech, effective and relatively cheap (under $10 NZ which is about $6 US)
ReplyDeleteSounds perfect! Where do you get one?
ReplyDeleteNow there's a good question. I got it in a kitchen specialty store here in New Zealand. I guess it depends where you are. thanks for the comment
Deleteyou can also use a teaspoon to accomplish the same thing...and it's probably already in your kitchen drawer!!!
ReplyDeleteNot sure I agree but thanks for the comment
ReplyDeleteI hate opening jars. This is so neat!
