First an apology to everyone who does authentic from
scratch Chinese cooking. I have seen
some great posts about Char Siu Pork
that when I spotted a little jar of Char Siu sauce in the local food store I
grabbed it.
I bought some pork slices and followed the instructions
on the jar of sauce – more or less.
I brushed the sauce onto both sides of the pork slices
and then left them covered in the fridge for about 5 hours. I think it would be good to leave them
overnight.
Then into a baking dish and bake in a moderate oven for
about 20 minutes on each side. Then
brush the top with honey and bake for a couple of minutes more. Easy and very tasty.
Love char siu! Look good. :)
ReplyDeleteEverytime I go down the Asian aisle at the grocery store, I look at all of those flavors and wonder what I should try first! This looks delicious...and easy is always good!
