The
Girls' book of Priesthood is a novel. I don't think the title suits the book – it makes
it sound like non-fiction.
Instead it is a story about a new Anglican curate who
has to complete a year successfully at a London church before she can be
ordained.
It is a gentle wry story that I enjoyed reading. The setting felt very authentic to me. The heroine Margot is also an appealing but
quirky person affected by a less than perfect background… I can relate to that.
Nice! Though I am no longer a believer, I was raised to be one and still enjoy books about people who have faith.
