Happy Bird-day – Meet the Goosander

Goosanders are also known as common Merganser.  These are the most common duck in the winter on the rivers of the northern States of the US.  They are quite stunningly beautiful. They eat fish and nest in holes in trees.  Can you see the serrations in their bills which help them hang on to slippery fish.
