I have started dabbling with some Japanese flavours –
and this Chicken Katsu was a first
toe in the water.
The only specialist ingredient needed is some Tonkatsu
sauce – which I found at my local store.
It also is good if you have Japanese mayo as well but ordinary would be
just fine.
Ingredients:
Frozen chicken tenders (crumbed)
Tonkatsu sauce
Mayonnaise
Parsley/tomatoes for garnish
Method:
This is really simple.
Just bake the chicken in accordance with the instructions on the box.
Slice the tenders and then drizzle going one way with
Tonkatsu sauce and the other with mayonnaise.
Mine didn't come out as pretty as I aimed for – I think I need to get
some little squeezy bottles so I can do thin lines.
Garnish and you're done.
That would be a quick, easy appetizer.

That's quick! I don't have any squeeze bottles either, but I always think about getting them so I can get all fancy with the drizzled sauce.
