Chimneys as art

The theme for today's art post is chimneys.   Enjoy.

The pic at the top is of Poolbeg Chimneys.  I thought this was very striking.  The chimneys were part of an Irish power station – since decommissioned.

This elaborate chimney pot is by Gaudi – the famous architect and can be found in Barcelona

This painting is by the New Zealander, Peter Siddell.  It is very typical of an Auckland urban landscape but without any intrusion of people or commerce.

These chimneys are part of Hampton Court Palace – the intricacy of the workmanship is not what you find today!
