Using my freezer

Every now and then I get all efficient and make a big batch of stock or juice a whole pile of lemons.  I then freeze small portions in ice cube trays, muffin tins or jelly moulds for later use.  Once they have frozen I transfer the stuff to plastic bags.

Often I am too lazy to label the bags – not a good idea – since I now have a number of unidentified bags of things that I'm not quite sure what they are!

How do you use your freezer?

  1. I like to make to prepare more of some things like grilled peppers, broth, or put in the freezer fresh vegetables and fruits. I usually put some labels but it happens to forgot :)

  2. I've tried to be better about labeling, but don't always do it either, so this happens to me, too. I never thought of freezing lemon juice, but that's a good idea! I freeze herbs, pesto, and herbs in oil at the end of summer and then forget to use them during the winter!

  3. Oh you made me laugh. So, I am not the only one that goes to all this work, and then doesn't label the bags?
