London – St Paul’s Cathedral

I guess almost every visitor to London goes to St Paul's Cathedral.  I am not a great fan of queues or guided tours so when I found myself in London one afternoon not too far from St Pauls in the late afternoon I popped in.

As luck would have it a service was just beginning (Evensong) and so I sat down and listened to the soaring music and soaked in the atmosphere of the Cathedral – a fantastic experience.

The weddings and funerals of some very famous people have been held there – including  Sir Winston Churchill and Lady Di and Prince Charles.

The tomb of Lord Nelson is in St Paul's.
