Zingy Orphan Salad – new name!

Name this salad on Carole's Chatter

Update: Thanks to Michelle, Analisa, Kirsten and Lisa for the name ideas – I have combined them to call this Zingy Orphan Salad
The salad was made from diced capsicum (bell pepper), courgette (zucchini), radish, potato, snow peas (or they might have been sugar snap peas) and parsley.

The dressing was an egg vinaigrette.  It was made from:

Chopped hard boiled egg
Dijon mustard
Olive oil
10 capers, chopped
Vinegar (white wine)
Chili flakes
Salt and pepper

Despite it being an orphan salad, it was very tasty.

  1. How about Zingy Summer Egg & Veggie salad? I would expect it has a little zing, what with radishes, mustard, capers, and chile flakes. :)

  3. Garden Fresh Chopped Salad with Egg Vinaigrette?
Obviously by my chicken post today, I suck at names, but it's very colorful and I'd eat it.

  6. I agree - Orphan Salad is very catchy LOL. It sorta looks like tabouli to me and sounds zippy like tabouli - how about Midwest Tabouli?

  10. Kirsten from the Armchair Sommelier suggested Confetti Salad as a name - I'm putting her suggestion in because she had difficulty getting her comment through!

Thanks for your suggestions,... I'm still thinking...
