Well,
this is the last week for Flag of the Week.
And it is the flag of the Philippines
(I always forget how many p's and l's there are – thank goodness for the spell
checker).
The
large eight pointed yellow star commemorates the 8 provinces who rose in revolt
against Spain. The smaller stars stand
for the 3 main island groups: Luzon, Mindanao and the Visayan archipelago.

Monday, a new series on Capital Cities will start.
It's always nice to get the history behind the flags.
